A QUIET PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE DEFINITION OF SCARY

APRIL 17TH, 2018

New movie makes you understand what horror is!

The movie A Quiet Place starring John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, directed by Krasinski, came out in theaters on April 6, 2018 around the world. In A Quiet Place, the family faces many obstacles where they need to make no sounds at all in a world filled with creatures attracted to sound.

Krasinski and Blunt are couples on and off screen, but only have children together in the movie. Every emotion present in the movie is radiating because of how excellent each actor was able to perceive their character.

The purpose of A Quiet Place was to make a horror movie that contains scary creatures that go beyond the standards of a scary movie. Krasinski's goal was to make a movie that was as great as all classic films.

According to Yohana Desta in her article ¨ ¨Gross It Up¨ How the Freaky Monsters of A Quiet Place  Were Created¨, ¨Jaws was a major reference point for Krasinski and the team, as was Alien¨.

He wanted to test the boundaries of scary, but at the same time, he did not want to put a man in a suit to go in front of the camera to shoot the movie. Krasinski wanted the viewers to believe that the creatures in his film could actually emerge in our world, that it should be a possibility that we should fear.

The movie not only makes you sit at the edge of the seat only to jump up and let a little scream out, but it also reminds people of how important family is in any challenge you face whether it be killing monsters or even a small argument.

When the credits of the movie rolled up on the screen, I sat in my seat letting all the emotions sink in. After watching A Quiet Place, it truly advances your knowledge of what you should be truly frightened of and what an actual scary movie is.
